WHy Adopt

Why Adopt?

There are many reasons to adopt but the first and foremost reason is you are saving a life.  You are actually saving 2 lives.  The life of your newest family member and the life of the dog that gets to take their spot in the rescue.  Many people think rescue dogs are somehow damaged which is so far from the truth.  Many dogs end up in shelters because of circumstances beyond their control. They were victims of a death in the family, illness, divorce or a move that didn’t include them. Some were displaced by a new baby. Others had pet parents who didn’t learn how to train them. And there are those who were left at a shelter because of a behavior problem that their pet parents didn’t try to or weren’t able to resolve.

Adopting a dog is much less expensive than purchasing a dog!  Our dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped before adoption. This saves adopters a lot of money not having to pay out of pocket surgery and vetting costs.  Adoption fees are nominal in comparison to surgery costs.

Since we are a 100% foster based rescue, we get to know the dogs as the individuals they are.  We get to know their likes, dislikes.  Are they suited for an apartment or do they need a big backyard?  How is their disposition with children?  We work with them on potty training, crate training, basic training.  Buying a dog does not provide insight on a dog’s individuality.

Adopting a dog from our rescue means you and your dog will have a lifetime of support from us.  We provide guidance, advice, vet recommendations, training recommendations, and useful “how to” guides and we are an email, phone call or text away.
